41.933698 -74.018406URGH. I went there because my NORMAL STYLIST was overbooked and could not schedule me. I should have waited for Mark to schedule me. He can cut better in his sleep. Lesson Learned.
overbooked and neglected. I went to Jenny to get my hair colred and was shocked that she was DRUNK,openly drinking wine in the middle of the day like it was normal AND was doing 2 other people at the same time!I also had to wait forever to get started and the whole time I was petrified that she was going to mess up my hair, also afraid to say anything because she is so overbearing and ignorantly assertive. Then she had the nerve to try to talk me into letting her CUT my hair.A drunk person with scissors near my head?I don't think so.Also it was very dirty, there was bad art on the walls she was trying to sell crappy old clothes.I left 3 hours later feeling ripped off with a bad dye job. This girl is a HUSTLER in the worst way.And clearly an alcoholic
Worst Haircut! Never Go Here!. My regular stylist was booked up and I had a show that night so I was desperate. It was either Leshag or the Cutting Crew, and boy did I opt wrong. The girl(Jennifer Donovan)was so busy bombarding me with catty gossip about my regular stylist(SO UNPROFFESSIONAL!)that she didn't listen to a word I said. She completely butchered my head!I went in with a slightly grown in carefully sculpted rock star do and left looking like my head got run over by a lawn mower. I went home and shaved my head.Should've left it alone.
West Village feel.... Ms. Donovan sculpts hair like no other in a one-woman show in a one-room spot with a kitch kick and lots of sunlight - surely a diamond in the rough. I hope not too many people find out how great she really is - it's already hard enough to get an appointment! She's gotten quite a bit of attention lately... her work has been showcased in the New York Times and the New Yorker. Far beyond a stylist Donovan is an artist - Best haircut outside of the city by far.... customized, caring one-on-one attention with a pro... If you're searching for a spot to get the latest cuts and edgy trends LeShag is a gem.
Somewhat weird. LeShag seems more thrift shop than salon. The location is odd, above an ethnic restaurant so it has a rank odor. The "funky" hairdos are choppy and sloppy. I'm afraid Ms. Donovan lacks aesthetics. Just an all around zero for this place.
