Past its prime. This place was, at one time, a very busy place. Its hibachi tables were a novelty, and Japanese food was pretty new to the area.

Time has passed, and there are far better places to eat this cuisine. I ate with a small group at one end of a hibachi table. The chef at our table was nice, but the food he was creating was mediocre. I know some people think this is "Japanese," but it is a soggy misrepresentation. The rice emerged from the kitchen doused with soy sauce, and that just isn't right. The meal didn't climb any culinary heights, and the sushi pieces i ordered to fill my belly were only passable. Go forth and be adventurous! Go elsewhere!
