This place thinks its in Beverly Hills. Avante is a Total ripoff!!!! My daughter and her friends went to this salon (16-17 yr olds) to get their hair done for their prom. These poor girls got the worst hair styles and the worst service I have ever seen. And they had the nerve to charge them no less than $50 up to $80 each for just a hair styling. No wash, no dry, no cut. Just hair styling. Sick!!!!

Salon avante and William are the best!. I moved to the area in August from the city and so I'm pretty snobby when it comes to getting my hair cut. I tried two different salons in Poughkeepsie where I live and left disappointed before I found Avante. I'm so glad I did! William is an amazing stylist! He only cuts hair but does a fabulous job! He takes so much time cutting your hair and making sure every strand is perfect! I have had him cut my hair several times so far and have not left disappointed. I would highly recommend this salon and William to anyone who wants their hair to look fabulous!

Absolutely the Best Salon in Kingston!. I've been going to Avante for approximately four or five years; specifically to Carrie. Not once have i left the salon even a little disappointed. Carrie is a godsend when it comes to color and all of the other stylists are incredibly talented.

Avante is a professional salon with a welcoming atmosphere. The prices are incredibly fair for the service you'll receive. Upon arrival, I'm always greeted by smiling faces asking me if i would like something to drink or a magazine.

The salon staff is always willing to accommodate your needs and although it can sometimes be difficult to get an appointment because of the salon's popularity, i find it's absolutely worth the wait. The owner of the salon is always there, working side by side with the other stylists, smiling and bringing good energy into the space.

I have recommended the salon to all of my friends, family, people new to the area or whenever anyone asks where a good salon is. I have never once had any complaints and everyone I've recommended Avante to is always ecstatic with their new look whether it be a hair cut, color, pedicure, manicure, waxing, etc.

I would absolutely recommend Avante to anyone and everyone that asks. I would give the salon six stars if i could.

Disastrous Experience. Went in for my routine appointment i receive every three-four months...a cut and color and man oh man, disappointed would be an understatement. I decided to try Avante instead of my regular salon and...let's just say it was a mistake i won't make again.

The staff was unusually rude and unpleasant. My hair turned out blotchy and i received a crooked cut. I felt incredibly unwelcome and the owner or manager...i think her name was Felicia had a terrible attitude and was nothing but unprofessional.

Definitely recommend Avante to people you don't like...it'll be a nice punishment.

great place!. stopped in for a pedicure while on a visit upstate and had a great time! staff was friendly & accomodating( I didn't have appt). Very clean & pretty place! Smiles all around!

FABULOUS PLACE LOVELY PEOPLE BEAUTIFUL WORK!!. I went to this place for the first time because my good friend just started working there. It is so beautiful and clean. A very hip, bright atmosphere with a buzzing busy feeling of people coming & going. My hair looks BEAUTIFUL and I could not be happier with it (and pregnant women are hard to please!) The color is exactly what I wanted and the cut is perfect for summer - the perfect length to style or pull-back. I even bought a gift certificate for Mom for Mother's Day because I know she'll feel wonderful being pampered in this very cool hip salon. Not to mention it's in a FABULOUS location down by the river. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP FOR WOMEN WHO LIKE TO FEEL RELAXED AND GET SOME PRIMPING FROM PROFESSIONAL BEAUTICIANS! GO GO GO NOW!

I am very pleased with Avante and my stylist Carrie. I have been going to Avante for a number of years and always have a great experience and look forward to my next appointment. I go to Carrie for my color, highlights and haircuts, she is a wonderful stylist. The atmosphere at Avante is clean and spa like, the staff is professional and friendly, you will enjoy your experience.

Should have trusted my instincts. I wish I walked out ... Mark was overbooked and I wanted a haircut. My stylist Mark is the best. He makes me feel safe and comfortable and beautiful. I wish I waited for Mark, but he is very, very busy and important. He cuts many many famous people's hair. Please skip and go uptown. wink wink ... You will thank me for that.

horrible and disgusting. I recently had my hair cut and colored at avante and boy,do I regret that decision.I was under the impression that this was a high end salon and I went there because the price was a little cheaper than the top hair salon in the area (where I couldn't get an appointment right away). This place ruined my hair.I had long naturally brown hair and always lighten it to a dark blonde with highlights.I left with a shoulder length blunt cut with visibly striped,uneven,tacky highlights and fuzzy (burnt off) ends. I literaaly will have to wear my hair up in a hat this weekend and hope it doesn't fall off when I wash it. I'm considering a lawsuit.don't believe the other reviews.none of these girls know what they're doing including the owner
