pretty good, pretty cheap, avoid weekend mornings.
Service is either great or lacking, the food is pretty good, soups are excellent and sandwiches are creative. Vegetarian options are plentiful, and carnivores are also happy. The only thing that I have had that wasn't good was the dessert, stick with the specials and avoid the bars (brownies, etc).
Parking is on the street or in the small lot behind. This place gets PACKED and LOUD on weekends, and you will usually wait for a table for breakfast.

Warning: Stay Away from Main Street Bistro!.
While visiting the area, I went to this restaurant for the vegetarian options on the menu. I was highly disappointed with the food, service, and atmosphere. My friend (a non-vegetarian) was equally dissatisfied.
My waitress was extremely rude (an understatement). The customers were rowdy and crammed together. The volume was off the charts. The food was greasy. Dishes were clanking in the kitchen. The staff shouted back and forth to one another.
If you are a vegetarian who embraces all principles of ethical living, or a human being who embraces kindness, this place is not for you. I will definitely not return.

a New Paltz classic.
No trip to NP is complete without a stop at the Bistro, where strung-out college kids, grungy rock-climbers and Eddie Bauer yuppies meet over burgers. Brunch here is prime--order anything involving a tortilla and you'll be set for the day.
